In 1969, my father left his hometown—a small town in eastern China—and moved to Shanghai to start a business. He initially operated a small shop as a retailer and distributor of metal products, including fences, gate doors, cattle pens, and color steel tiles. After accumulating some experience and building up channels, he gradually shifted his focus to the sales of color steel tiles and carports. In 1974, my father became a manufacturer, building the first factory, which covered an area of 55,669 square feet. Together with our architectural designer and several employees, he began producing metal carports and fences.
In 1990, I graduated from university with a degree in architecture, and the company had grown from just a few employees to over twenty. After discussing with my family, I traveled to 80% of the cities in China to understand consumer needs and feedback, documenting my findings. This became the reason why we have always adhered to a customer-centric approach.
In 2008, as my father prepared for retirement, most of the company’s work was transferred to me. I began to broaden our sales channels, expanding our market from farms and construction sites to communities, schools, mines, sports fields, airports, and stations. At this time, I gradually realized that our production capacity was limiting the company's business development. Fortunately, there was still vacant land around the factory that hadn’t been sold, so we began to expand our first factory from 55,669 square feet to 143,375 square feet. The workforce grew from over twenty to more than sixty employees, and we established departments for procurement, sales, finance, and production, selling over 23 million pounds of steel products each year.
In 2013, we began selling overseas, primarily focusing on the Japanese and South Korean markets. In 2016, the organizing committee for the Brazil Olympics noticed us; we passed their product and factory inspections and became one of the suppliers for the Olympics, producing mobile fences and carports for them, resulting in orders exceeding 10 million dollars.
By 2020, we entered the North American market, collaborating with major platforms and selling 56 million pounds of steel products annually. Now, I am a partner/owner of our two manufacturing plants. And at our headquarters, we have 27 full-time employees, with a total of 180 employees across both factories. I hope our products can be of assistance to you, and I sincerely thank you for granting us the privilege of becoming your supplier of steel structure buildings.
